FLCL.CA - First Significant Update in 7 Years
Our Internet Service Provider has recently notified us that they were moving FLCL.CA to their upgraded servers and software. We had a look at the web pages to see if they still worked after the move. They did, but the sight of our site, which has not seen any real attention since 2002, motivated us to update it.
There are two things we have learned from our web pages over the years... The first is that a website that was intended to be full of helpful information needs constant updating - and we don't have the time. If not updated for nearly a decade, it becomes almost entirely obsolete and useless to visitors.
The second is that so long as the contact information is correct, the telephone calls and emails still keep rolling in!
We recognised that our website has only been performing a single but valuable function for many, many years now: providing visitors with our contact information.
So we have learned our lessons. We have gutted the site, removed all information that was out of date and left only a brief descrition of who we are and what we do, and the contact information. Our site should be one of the fastest on the internet as a result. No forms, no multimedia, no annoying ads etc. It's now just basically text that should load in the blink of an eye. We hope you appreciate the simplicity and efficiency of the new website design.
